Summary
Reporting to the Area Manager, Central, the Journeyperson Millwright is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhauling, and repairing of the Centrifuge Equipment, machinery, and mechanical components.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Install, align, fit, dismantle and move centrifuges, skids, motors, hydraulic systems and pumps
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, loaders and forklifts to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
- Inspect and examine Centrifuge and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools
- Keep up to date with all Precision Rentals core values, key beliefs, and safety culture
- Participating in after-hours and weekend on-call and overtime as required
- Various other duties as required
Education
High school diploma.
Must be a registered Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright
Experience
2+ years’ experience working with or on drilling rig equipment is considered an asset
Must have a valid Vehicle Operation License (abstract required)
