Billings Analyst

Summary
Billing analysts work for the company's accounting department. Through corresponding with clients, they are tasked with ensuring that the company clients are billed correctly, issuing invoices, and overseeing the company revenue intake. Responsibilities include:

The preparation and posting of all drilling invoices

Works closely on a day-to-day basis with the contracts department

Analyzes in detail rig tour sheets and drilling contracts to ascertain proper charge out rates for the various activities.

Prepares all drilling invoices promptly for client issuance, for review with the contracts department

Prepares and reviews all third-party billings working closely with the accountants and accounts payable department

Posting of all approved invoices to accounting system

Creates well files for each rig/job in SharePoint and stores soft copies of all documents pertaining to each job

Distributes invoices to Operator via mail, email, and electronic transfer

Performs other accounting functions as required by the accounting department i.e.: Month end accruals

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma
Experience

Minimum 1-2 years’ experience with invoicing with a drilling company

Knowledge of accounting procedures and information systems would be an asset

Working knowledge of SAP
