Summary
The SAP Functional Analyst-Plant Maintenance will be responsible for the SAP processes and system modules supporting the business operations. This role requires skills in business analysis, process design, system solutions, implementation, and sustainment of SAP solutions to help Precision achieve its High-Performance / High-Value goals. This role will be heavily focused on ongoing improvements and expansion initiatives, as well as monthly releases and production support.
Responsibilities
- Acts as subject matter expert for one or more of the SAP Operations functions and business processes – Enterprise Asset Management, Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Production Planning, Environmental Health and Safety, Quality Management, Management of Change, and other in-house drilling modules
- Primary areas of support will be within the SAP Enterprise Asset Management (Plant Maintenance) and SAP Contract to Billing (Sales & Distribution) modules, preferably within the SAP S/4 HANA application
- Have a good understanding of the integration points to other SAP modules such as SCM, FI, CO, PM, and technical areas of ABAP, FIORI, Security, Reporting, etc.
- Performs the application configuration and maintenance by conducting meetings with users to determine system requirements
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with business process owners, business users, and IT team members
- Meets regularly with Business Stream Leads, Business Systems Managers, and SAP Team Leads to ensure alignment of projects and job activities
- Motivates and communicates to leverage skills and competencies of individuals within the business unit(s) supported
- Participates in or leads requirements and design workshops with Business and IT leads
- Communicates to business process teams the technical capabilities of SAP
- Identifies opportunities and provides recommendations on business process improvements
- Communicates effectively with business users and internal teams to deliver functional requirements, assist with documentation, create process maps, etc.
- Performs requirement and fit/gap analyses and produces configuration and development requirements
- Designs, configures, upgrades, and tests solutions
- Determines security access needs and translates to authorization requirements provided to the SAP Security team
- Prepares detailed Functional Specifications, which translate the business requirements into functional design, and oversees the development aspects of the proposed solution
- Develops documentation to support system and process changes
- Assist in the development of communications, training, and job aids to support change management activities for any projects or initiatives.
- Utilizes expertise in project management, process improvement, metrics, requirements management, information technology, and understanding of the organization’s systems and capabilities to ensure the most efficient use of resources

Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or relevant work experience
Experience
5+ years of SAP PM Functional Analyst experience
A solid understanding of SAP is a must.
Minimum 2-3 full lifecycle SAP implementations (S/4 HANA experience preferred)
Solid understanding of business process design
Strong focus on delivery, accuracy, and quality, with a focus on attention to detail
Proven knowledge of integration between core SAP modules
Experience working within the oil and gas industry is an asset.
