The following restrictions apply to all internship candidates:

  • Applicants must be available for a non-negotiable start date of Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Calgary area, as Precision does not provide internship housing.
  • By May 4, 2026, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute (see job posting). 

 


Summary

The HR Analytics Intern will report to the Senior HR Analytics Specialist, based in the Calgary corporate office. They will be required to assist with business reporting and dashboards, data management, and help innovate process improvement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and enhance existing HR reports and dashboards
  • Assist in creating new reports and visualizations to meet business needs
  • Complete Ad hoc reports and analysis as required
  • Help build and maintain a SharePoint site for HR data and resources
  • Support the creation of a structured data library and catalogue
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and proper documentation
  • Contribute to streamlining reporting processes and standardizing outputs
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks
  • Work with the HR Analytics team and the greater HR function to understand reporting needs
  • Learn and apply best practices in data analysis and visualization
  • Participate in team meetings and share ideas for efficiencies and improvements

 

Knowledge & Skills

General fluency in Excel and PowerPoint

Understanding or exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively

 

Education

Currently pursuing a degree in HR, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Economics, Business Technology Management, or a related field

 

Experience

Minimum of 1 year experience in an office environment, focusing on HR Data Analytics is considered an asset, but not required
