The following restrictions apply to all internship candidates:  

  • Applicants must be available for a non-negotiable start date of Wednesday May 7, 2025 

  • Applicants must be 18 years or older. 

  • Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Calgary area, as Precision does not provide internship housing.  

  • By May 5, 2025, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute (see job posting).   

 

Summary  

The IT Systems & Endpoint Analyst Intern will complete an 8-month work term starting May 2025. Supporting Precision’s growing environment at a technical level; the successful candidate will be representing the infrastructure team in its relationships with business unit customers and other IT groups. A focus and appreciation of the need for process, change control, and infrastructure stability.   

 

Responsibilities  

Management and administration of on-prem and cloud-based services hosted on VMWare and Microsoft Azure, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra administration, backup administration, and maintenance/support of existing infrastructure technologies where required while being guided by a senior analyst. 

Management and administration of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Teams Rooms and iOS endpoints, focusing on patch management, application packaging and sustainment using Microsoft Intune and Tanium 

 

Knowledge & Skills  

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Visio) is required  

Basic knowledge and understanding of Document Management is desirable  

Proficiency in SharePoint is desirable  

Self-motivated and disciplined  

Highly organized, detail-oriented, reliable and responsible  

Effective and enthusiastic team player who works efficiently with minimal supervision  

Excellent interpersonal skills are required  

Very strong written and verbal communication skills are a requirement, as well as proven proficiency in communicating with and understanding business professionals  

Strong analytical and customer service skills  

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment 

 

Education  

Pursuing a Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Information Systems  

 

Experience  

Previous experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment is required  

Previous experience working in a professional office environment is an asset
