The following restrictions apply to all internship candidates:  

  • Applicants must be available for a non-negotiable start date of Wednesday May 7, 2025 

  • Applicants must be 18 years or older. 

  • Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Calgary area, as Precision does not provide internship housing.  

  • By May 5, 2025, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute (see job posting).   

 
Summary  

The Intern, Sales Enablement and Research, at the Calgary-EAP location, is required to support the sales and marketing team through the maintenance/administration of sales enablement platforms and thoughtful market research.   

 

 Responsibilities  

  • Working cross-functionally to create customer-tailored and/or internal materials, including branded microsites via Showpad, to aid in the sales and marketing cycle.

  • Helping with the maintenance and administration of sales enablement platforms (e.g., Showpad and Playbook), using analytics to identify the most and least relevant content, and driving revisions to existing content where needed.

  • Assisting in the maintenance of CRM records (accounts, contacts, customer profiling) to facilitate the account management process and marketing-related analytics.

  • Conducting market and competitor research, identifying major trends and insights pertinent to the energy industry. Aggregating feedback from sales reps to give holistic views of the business environment.

  • Keeping M&A, egress and other industry data trackers updated.

  • Contributing to the investor relations function through research and the generation of visualizations and summary data.

  • Ownership of certain daily and weekly reporting tasks.

 

Knowledge & Skills  

Well-developed communication and presentation skills, including the generation of appealing visualizations  

Base understanding of the oilfield value chain, oil and gas macroeconomics, and geopolitics  

Primary and secondary research abilities  

Ability to interpret and work with large datasets  

Attention to detail and strong writing/grammar skills  

Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

 

Education  

Currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a focus in Analytics and/or Marketing; will consider other concentrations or degrees with an analytical nature

 

Experience  

Minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience in an office environment is an asset 

Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry is considered an asset
