- Applicants must be available for a non-negotiable start date of Wednesday May 7, 2025
- Applicants must be 18 years or older.
- Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Calgary area, as Precision does not provide internship housing.
- By May 5, 2025, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute (see job posting).
Summary
The Supply Chain Management Intern at the Manufacturing Shop in Calgary, Alberta, will gain experience in maintaining systems, business processes, inventory management, material resource planning, and master data quality checks.
Responsibilities
- Assist the SCM team with reporting departmental objectives
- Assist with organization, tagging and optimization of goods in the warehouse
- Analyze inventory to identify slow-moving items
- Perform data collection, spreadsheet creation, and data analysis of departmental objectives
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives for supply chain management to ensure that the internal process within the organization meets the needs of the business
Knowledge & Skills
SAP experience is considered an asset
PowerBI experience is considered an asset
Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders
Strong writing skills for creating reports, correspondence, contracts, requests, bids, and other documentation
Strong computer skills
Basic mathematical skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages and averages required
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments and key business partners
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
Excellent time and project management skills
Education
Pursuing a Degree in Supply Chain Management. This position is suitable for students who find interest in procurement/Supply Chain Management
Experience
Strong computer applications knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Data Analytics Tools –PowerBI)
Previous oil and gas-related internship experience is an asset
