Precision Drilling is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to develop and deliver programs that advance our high-performance, high-value strategy. This role supports the design and execution of talent management and learning initiatives, partnering across the organization to implement innovative, impactful solutions that strengthen employee growth and organizational capability.

DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Drive the organization's learning strategy by identifying skill and capability gaps through needs assessments, stakeholder input, and performance data to determine where development efforts will have the greatest impact
- Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise learning and leadership programs
- Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual workshops focused on leadership development, performance management, goal setting, and other priority topics
- Partner with business units to align learning and talent initiatives with organizational priorities and measure program impact
- Tailor learning content and delivery methods to fit the needs of diverse audiences, including field operations, corporate teams, and cross-functional groups, ensuring relevance and accessibility regardless of setting.
- Apply strong project management practices and leverage technology (LMS, digital tools, virtual platforms) to ensure smooth design, delivery, and scaling of learning initiatives
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field, with at least 5 years’ experience in corporate Learning & Development
- Proven ability to conduct needs analyses, develop competency frameworks, and design impactful learning programs aligned to business priorities
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs and leadership development experiences that build the skills and capabilities our people need to perform and grow, from frontline field roles to corporate functions
- Continuously evaluate and improve learning and leadership programs using participant feedback, outcome data, and business metrics to ensure programs deliver measurable results
- Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to align learning priorities with organizational goals and to surface emerging development needs across the enterprise
- Able and willing to travel approximately 20% of the time to various locations in Canada and the US, to support program delivery and stakeholder engagement
