The Machinist, General Labourer supports machine shop operations by assisting skilled tradespeople with material handling, equipment operation, component processing, and general shop activities. This role helps maintain safe, efficient workflows while supporting production requirements, equipment movement, and day-to-day shop operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Assist Journeymen and shop personnel with fabrication, machining, and day-to-day production activities
- Move, organize, and coordinate materials and equipment throughout the shop using forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Operate metal band saws and support component preparation activities, including phosphating and product identification stamping
- Use measuring tools and equipment to support accurate production and quality requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Provide coverage for departmental duties as needed and support overtime and other shop activities to meet operational demands
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- High school diploma required; oilfield services experience is considered an asset
- Forklift experience is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with measurements and production requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
- Positive, self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and a commitment to working safely and collaboratively
