Summary
The Equipment Service Technician is responsible for the repair, regular maintenance, set up, and tear out of Precision Rental’s surface equipment, wellsites, camp units, and generator buildings.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular well site trailer and camp unit maintenance, which includes plumbing, electrical, satellite receiver repairs, furnace, and a/c inspections and repairs, and some trim and carpentry work
- Perform oil changes and complete minor generator/engine repairs
- Perform regular maintenance on 400-bbl tanks and horizontal invert/brine tanks, tear apart and reassemble various Gorman Rupp Pumps, and test 3” and 4” hoses
- Travel to/from various oilfield leases and install, rig in/out, and repair various types of our equipment including but not limited to well-site accommodations, 400 bbl. tanks, horizontal tanks, generator buildings, hoses of various sizes, vacuum units and centrifuges
- Cleaning, repairing, and painting equipment
- Other general shop tasks as assigned
- Occasional out-of-town travel is required
- Requirement to work overtime as well as participate in an on-call rotation
- Required to operate Heavy Equipment (ie: front-end loaders)
Knowledge & Skills
Valid Class 5 drivers license and current drivers abstract
Current WHMIS, TDG, H2S, CSO and FIRST AID
Excellent safety record and demonstrated commitment to a safe work environment
Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and able to work independently and able to work well with others in a team setting
Positive attitude
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

Education
A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required
Completion of college and/or vocational and technical training is considered an asset
Experience
Previous experience working in the oil and gas industry is an asset
Mechanical knowledge of centrifuges and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance, is an asset
