Location: Houston, Texas (Travel required to all divisions)

Work Schedule: 14 days on 14 days off

Summary

The Field Training & Development Coach is responsible for coaching and mentoring new and existing employees on techniques for identifying at-risk behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Participate in JSA (Job Safety Analysis) reviews on rig sites and use the information collected to observe crews
• Educate and train rig crews on the expectations regarding Critical Operating Procedures
• Attend crew hand over meetings to observe the communication between crews and ensure the time is utilized to its full potential
• Complete at-risk observations each day to help the crew to understand the value in being aware of and dealing with at risk behaviors
• Review safety meetings and materials from these meetings; helping crews to understand their value
• Help crews use safety information to their benefit in their day-to-day operations
• Assist the field in competency development and assessment process

Knowledge & Skills

Operational experience is an asset; preferably worked as a Derrickman or higher

Field experience with a proven safety record

Possess a working knowledge of drilling & well servicing equipment

Hold a valid driver’s license and ability to produce a clean driver’s abstract

Excellent communication skills

Clear understanding of company standards and practices

Motivation to develop skills associated with HSE professional practices, procedures, and regulations

Familiarity with MS Office

Ability to always demonstrate a commitment to safety

Education & Experience

High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent

Certification in H2S; First Aid; Emergency Response; Hazard Identification, Communication (HAZCOM), and Handling standards and procedures, Rig Rescue, Fall Protection, and Confined Space Entry
