Engine Mechanic

The Engine Mechanic is responsible for the overall support of troubleshooting power systems equipment and/or resolving power systems problems.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Commission engine and power systems equipment.
- Knowledge of all engine components, rebuilding, and testing.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and resolving power systems problems.
- Reading and assembling equipment from prints and drawings.
- Reading power systems schematics and drawings, having a good understanding of symbols.
- Be available 24-hour on-call to travel the field when required.
- Collaborating and cross-training with partner departments on other drilling equipment.
- Coordinating maintenance and repairs.

Education & Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience working on diesel engines and or power systems on rigs for level 1 positions. Level 2 and 3 positions should have 5+ years’ experience
- Diesel vocational school certifications and additional training preferred
- Working experience with Caterpillar engines, Detroit engines, various small engines, and Bi-fuel systems
