The Field Development Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting world-class training programs for field personnel. You will play a key part in developing job-specific training that reinforces our strong safety culture, operational excellence, and commitment to our people.

DAY IN THE LIFE: 

  • Facilitate new hire orientations, onboarding, and job-specific training for field personnel at all levels.

  • Operate rig training equipment and deliver hands-on instruction (drilling experience preferred).

  • Collaborate with colleagues and third-party providers to enhance training programs and ensure high-quality learning experiences.

  • Support field and shop locations across North America, requiring up to 50% travel.

  • Manage classroom logistics, mentor trainees, and provide problem-solving support during training.

  • Represent Precision Drilling’s values and safety standards while leading by example and contributing to special projects.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: 

  • Field experience with a proven safety record
  • Working knowledge of drilling equipment (Driller experience preferred with Alpha A&N knowledge)
  • Three years of previous Training experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean abstract
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SuccessFactors, and SharePoint
  • Strong motivation to expand and develop training skills
