The Foreman, Engines-Power Systems, oversees daily shop operations, ensuring safe, efficient execution of engine repair and preventative maintenance activities in compliance with all regulatory and company standards. This role leads the team in maintaining high safety, quality, and operational performance at the Houston Technical Support Center.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Lead and supervise technicians in the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of oilfield engines, ensuring high performance and quality standards
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs while troubleshooting technical issues and supporting emerging technologies
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to technicians, including scheduling work, evaluating performance, and supporting hiring initiatives
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards are maintained while managing shop operations and maintaining accurate records
  • Support operational efficiency by managing inventory, cost control, and maintenance documentation, and serve as acting lead during manager absences

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • 10+ years of engine repair experience, with strong technical knowledge of Caterpillar engine systems
  • Previous experience supervising full-time mechanics in a shop or field environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and SAP, with strong computer literacy
