The Purchaser, Inventory Coordinator is responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and services while maintaining inventory levels to support operational demands. This role ensures accurate inventory management, timely product availability, and effective supplier partnerships that drive cost efficiency and reliable service delivery.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Procure materials, equipment, and services by creating purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and monitoring delivery schedules
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels through demand analysis, stock monitoring, and replenishment planning
  • Manage purchasing and inventory data within ERP systems, ensuring accurate records, pricing, and transactions
  • Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts, audits, physical inventories, and discrepancy resolution
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve supply chain issues, improve cost efficiency, and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • 3-5 years of purchasing, inventory, or supply chain experience; diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field is an asset
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of drilling rig and diesel engine equipment is a strong asset
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory levels, usage trends, and operational requirements
  • Proven ability to coordinate purchasing activities, including purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and delivery scheduling
  • Effective communicator and problem solver with experience resolving supplier, inventory, and delivery issues while maintaining accurate purchasing and inventory records
