The HSE Management System Senior Specialist enhances and ensures compliance with the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Acting as a subject matter expert, this role supports alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices across operations.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Enhance and maintain HSE systems by monitoring safety standards, conducting internal assessments, and driving continuous improvement in line with regulations and best practices.
  • Support and advise operations and HSE teams on regulatory compliance, field activities, and incident investigations, including Management of Change and corrective actions.
  • Lead compliance and audit processes, including internal reviews, Certificate of Recognition (COR) audits, and ensuring follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Manage HSE data and systems, working with analysts to improve digital tools and overseeing registry platforms like ISNetworld, Veriforce, and ComplyWorks.
  • Represent and coordinate externally, including managing customer HSE pre-qualification, reviewing HSE contract requirements, and participating in industry committees.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • 7–10 years of HSE experience with strong knowledge of OSHA and Canadian provincial regulations, particularly in oil and gas operations.
  • Skilled in regulatory compliance and HSE management systems, with proven ability to interpret and apply regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, with project management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
