The successful candidate will have responsibility for various aspects of the Company’s federal/state income tax research and compliance, sales/use tax and property tax matters within the U.S. The individual will report to the Senior Manager, International Tax and will act as a liaison and advocate on sales tax issues impacting the Company.
DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Ensure accurate U.S. tax compliance and income tax provision, including deferred taxes, in coordination with accounting and finance teams
- Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions, tax account reconciliations, and related analyses; research tax issues affecting compliance and planning
- Manage U.S. tax depreciation and reconcile book-to-tax differences in capital assets
- Prepare and file sales/use and property tax returns, support audits, reconcile tax liability accounts, and coordinate with external service providers and tax authorities
- Assist with federal/state income audits and state sales/use tax auditsUtilize strong analytical, communication, and technical skills (Excel; SAP, Vertex, CCH preferred) to support internal stakeholders and ad hoc tax matters
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- CPA or equivalent professional designation
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in US tax compliance, audits, and research
