Yard Supervisor

Summary

The yard supervisor is responsible for loading/unloading trucks, picking, checking, packing, and receiving orders as assigned. They are also responsible for maintaining all the infrastructure at Houston Technical Support Center.

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and preparation of orders for daily shipments
• Completing equipment transfers in SAP for assets
• Inspecting forklifts and maintaining yard equipment
• Receiving and sorting buy-out materials
• Checking the accuracy of delivered items against vendor delivery slips
• Goods receipts/issuing of buyouts and inventory materials within the ERP system
• Scheduling, loading, and unloading freight and materials as instructed
• Distributing paperwork to appropriate personnel for goods receipt
• Coordinating order discrepancies and other issues with purchaser
• Safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Assist with inventory receiving and shelf restocking
• Assist with physical inventory counts
• Follow and support all Precision Drilling policies and procedures
• General warehouse maintenance such as cleaning and organization
• Weekly pick-up and delivery of materials and products
• Complete Equipment Transfers as needed
• Maintaining a clean driving record
• Working overtime hours when required, including on-call rotation
• Various other duties as required

Knowledge and Skills

• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
• Ability to work with little or no supervision

• Computer skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multi-task and manage time appropriately.
• Detail oriented
• A team player and collaborative worker with a positive attitude

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in a similar role
• Material handling Knowledge including fork-lift operation are essential but not required.
• Prior warehousing experiences
• Experience with SAP Ariba an asset
