The Field Training & Development Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting world-class training programs for field personnel. You will play a key part in developing job-specific training that reinforces our strong safety culture, operational excellence, and commitment to our people.

DAY IN THE LIFE: 

  • Facilitate new employee orientations and onboarding
  • Develop and deliver job-specific training for field personnel at all levels
  • Operate rig training equipment (drilling experience preferred)
  • Collaborate with other trainers to update and improve course content
  • Partner with 3rd-party training providers to ensure high-quality course offerings
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Support field and shop locations across Canada, with travel up to 20%

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: 

  • Represent Precision Drilling professionally by modeling company values, safety standards, and Life Saving Actions
  • Lead and manage classroom environments, including setup, facilitation, and supporting employee learning
  • Apply field experience and equipment knowledge to mentor, coach, and problemsolve with trainees
  • Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, organization, and timemanagement skills using Microsoft and SuccessFactors/SharePoint tools
  • Hold required qualifications (HS diploma, valid driver’s license) and show motivation to expand training capabilities while collaborating effectively within a team
