The HSE Superintendent is responsible for the implementation of the HSE management system (MS), processes, policies, and tools; Drives ownership, responsibility, and accountability for HSE; communicates effectively to drive consistent implementation and compliance with the HSE MS; champions HSE to continuously drive HSE Performance.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Provide HSE leadership, coaching, and training across all field levels and ensure implementation of HSE policies, objectives, and performance measures during drilling operations
  • Promote and enforce Key Beliefs, Life Saving Actions, and HSE MS tools, while participating in hazard assessments, safety meetings, and inspections
  • Monitor and communicate HSE data and KPIs to track leading and lagging indicators, and ensure continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices through training, auditing, and inspections
  • Support incident management by preparing reports, conducting investigations, and coordinating with HSE/Ops management
  • Conduct HSE assessments and inspections to identify gaps, track corrective actions, and verify training compliance
  • Act as a liaison between field teams and stakeholders, maintain daily reporting, and manage corporate card and vehicle usage per company policy

 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills with attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
  • Proficient in written and email communication; motivated to grow in HSE practices, procedures, and regulatory knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to support personnel at all levels and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance
  • Drilling rig experience required (minimum motorhand level); familiar with HSE Management Systems, tools, and industry procedures
  • HSE certifications preferred; must hold a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle use and driving policy requirements
