The HSE Superintendent is a field-based safety leader responsible for implementing and reinforcing Precision Drilling’s HSE Management System across drilling operations. This role provides coaching, training, compliance oversight, and operational support to drive a strong safety culture, improve HSE performance, and ensure safe, consistent work practices across the field on a 14-day-on/7-day-off work schedule.

DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Provide field-based HSE leadership, coaching, training, and support to drilling operations, ensuring consistent implementation of HSE objectives, standards, and safe work practices
- Conduct HSE assessments, inspections, hazard assessments, audits, and risk management activities to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and communicate HSE performance metrics and KPIs, analyze trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives across field operations
- Support incident management activities, including investigations, reporting, corrective action follow-up, and communication with operations and HSE leadership
- Partner closely with HSE and Field Superintendents by communicating visit plans, observations, findings, and follow-up actions before and after every rig visit to ensure alignment, collaboration, and ongoing support for field operations.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Drilling rig experience required, with a minimum of Motorhand-level experience and a strong understanding of drilling operations
- Working knowledge of HSE Management Systems, regulatory requirements, and industry safety practices; HSE certifications are considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license required with the ability to operate a company vehicle in accordance with company policies
- Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence and support personnel at all levels of the organization
- Highly organized, detail-oriented professional with the ability to identify improvements, perform effectively under pressure, and support continuous development of HSE programs and practices
