The MPD(Managed Pressure Drilling) Field Technician supports rig operations by installing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining MPD equipment in both field and shop environments. This role ensures equipment readiness, safe operations, and reliable service delivery to meet operational and customer requirements.

DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Install, rig up, operate, troubleshoot, and rig down MPD equipment in both field and shop environments
- Inspect, maintain, and prepare equipment for deployment, including pressure control, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Monitor performance and operating parameters, performing basic and minor repairs to support safe, efficient operations
- Follow procedures, safety standards, and technical documentation while communicating equipment status with crews, supervisors, and customers
- Maintain accurate documentation, support inventory and shop activities, diagnostics, and contribute to safe, reliable service delivery and continuous improvement
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- High school diploma or GED required; post‑secondary technical training (mechanical, hydraulic, instrumentation, or electrical) is an asset
- 3+ years of oilfield, drilling, pressure control, or field service experience, with MPD experience preferred; a valid Well Control 1st or 2nd Line Ticket (or equivalent) is required
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems, with the ability to read technical manuals, P&IDs, and schematics
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel, work rotational schedules, extended hours, and in field conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting, safety, communication, and teamwork skills, able to work independently in fast‑paced environments
