Summary  

The Onboarding Coordinator provides administrative, analytical, and technical assistance in the onboarding processes and administrative support to the HR and Personnel teams. This position also partners with our recruiting and HR information team and provides backup support in case of need or absence. The Onboarding Coordinator provides an outstanding experience for our candidates, ensuring a positive experience for prospective and current employees at Precision. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Complete the Review New Hire Data step in SuccessFactors, which kicks off Onboarding for all rig-based Canadian employees

  • Complete the Manage Pending Hires step in SuccessFactors for all rig-based Canadian employees

  • Audit the daily tour sheet reports from the drilling rigs to ensure no employee is missed in the onboarding process and its completion

  • Work with Operations & Personnel to ensure employees receive the same experience when they are sent directly to the rig without orientation

  • Ensuring each employee hired completes all steps of the onboarding process, including managing onboarding documents to ensure timely and accurate completion

  • Supporting employees with questions and challenges as they navigate the electronic onboarding process 

  • Preparing employees for the first hitch on the job, what to bring, what not to bring, what to expect, mental/physical preparation

  • Communication of the referral program, including identifying employees that were referred and closing the loop on paperwork

  • Employee experience – recognition program after hours worked in the field, reward employees with PD swag

  • Partner with the Field Training, Personnel, and HRIS Departments on the onboarding process

 

Knowledge & Skills  

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) 

Excellent planning and organizing skills 

Strong responsibility and initiative skills 

Positive, employee-focused attitude and superior customer service 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality 

Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines

Education  

High School Diploma

 

Experience  

1-2 years of experience in an administrative or human resources capacity 

Outgoing personality that enjoys interacting with others 

Customer service experience is a requirement 

A positive can-do attitude and one who exhibits resiliency 

Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred 

Previous working experience with SAP SuccessFactors would be an asset
