The following restrictions apply to all internship candidates:

  • Applicants must be available for a non-negotiable start date of Monday May 4, 2026.
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Nisku  area, as Precision does not provide internship housing.
  • By May 4, 2026, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute (see job posting). 


Summary

The Purchasing & Procurement Intern at the Drilling Support Centre is required to support day-to-day operations by accurately analyzing supply chain data, maintaining and organizing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of parts to Canadian rig operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day parts management and process control of inventory and warehouse operations
  • Perform analysis on dead inventory and recommend slow-moving items for disposition
  • Identify inventory addition candidates
  • Review, catalogue, and birth inventory from existing parts not held as inventory
  • Review Operations requests and create demand cycle and purchase strategies for inventory
  • Send RFQs out to vendors and upload pricing/ delivery times into SAP upon return
  • Responsible for a clean and safe workspace
  • Follow and support all Precision Drilling policies and procedures
  • Assist in identifying workplace hazards
  • Maintain a clean driving record
  • Work overtime hours when required
  • Various other duties as required

 

Knowledge & Skills

Microsoft Office

SAP experience is considered an asset

Oilfield experience is considered an asset

Strong organization and communication skills

Strong attention to detail and task management

Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently

 

Education

Must be enrolled in a university or college and pursuing a degree or designation in Supply Chain Management or a similar field, such as Business or Engineering

 

Experience

Minimum 1-2 years of related work experience in supply chain management is an asset
