Summary

 The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining all equipment tracking records, and goods movements are fulfilled. This includes accountability for their work and should include the following:

 

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading freight and materials as instructed
  • Picking, packing, and preparation of orders for daily shipments, including sending out material and equipment for repair and return
  • Receiving, sorting, and delivery of materials to other bays, including updating all ETR records
  • Goods receipts/verifying shipment contents, comparing manifests with purchase orders, and inspecting received materials/equipment for damage and discrepancies
  • Safe operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment
  • Assist with inventory receiving and shelf restocking
  • Assist with physical inventory counts
  • Follow and support all Precision Drilling policies and procedures
  • General warehouse maintenance such as cleaning and organization
  • Assisting in identifying workplace hazards
  • Maintaining a clean driving record
  • Working overtime hours when required, including on-call rotation
  • Various other duties as required

 

Knowledge & Skills

1-3 years of experience in shipping/receiving or a similar role

Additional industry-related courses are preferred

Strong material handling skills

Knowledge of oilfield equipment is essential but not required

Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization

 

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
