The Field Development Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting world-class training programs that enhance the technical skills, safety performance, and operational effectiveness of field personnel. This 2-weeks-on/2-weeks-off rotational position plays a key role in developing job-specific training that reinforces Precision Drilling’s strong safety culture, operational excellence, and commitment to employee development.

DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Facilitate new employee onboarding and deliver engaging, job-specific training programs for field personnel at all levels
- Operate and support rig training equipment while reinforcing safe work practices, Key Beliefs, and Life Saving Actions
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party training providers to continuously improve learning programs and training effectiveness
- Serve as a coach, mentor, and problem solver for field employees, supporting their development and operational success
- Support field and shop locations across North America, including travel of up to 50%, while maintaining effective learning environments and training activities
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Field experience with a proven safety record, drilling experience (Driller level preferred), and Alpha A&N knowledge are strong assets
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is an asset
- 3+ years of training experience preferred, with demonstrated coaching and mentoring capabilities
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract and proficiency in Microsoft Office, SuccessFactors, and SharePoint
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others and lead by example
