The Hydraulic Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining hydraulic systems and equipment to support safe, reliable drilling operations. This role provides hands-on technical expertise in hydraulic diagnostics and repairs, works collaboratively with field and shop teams, and helps ensure equipment performance through effective maintenance, inventory management, and on-call field support.

DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Commission, install, and maintain hydraulic equipment to support safe and reliable drilling operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve hydraulic system issues using strong diagnostic and fluid power knowledge
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and equipment specifications to support assembly and repairs
- Coordinate maintenance activities, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, adhere to company safety requirements, and participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation to support field operations
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- 5-10 years of hydraulic industry experience, preferably within the oilfield sector; hydraulic training or certification is an asset
- Strong commitment to safety, with a proven ability to work safely in both field and shop environments
- Resourceful problem solver with strong critical-thinking, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated team player with strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and participating in a 24-hour on-call rotation as required
